This job deals with a lot of people in a lot of situations that are based on deadlines, money limitations, etc., but in all that dialogue, meetings, strategy, etc... in all of that, you sometimes meet someone you could be friends with for life. Well,
that happened to me when I was lucky enough to have met the Benda family, who not only were great to work with, but go getters in life. In fact, when they closed on their property, the Bendas asked us to meet them for dinner, and while there,
Jason hands a check for helping them in addition to what I earned on the commission....not expected, but thankful for their generosity. The 509 is a home away for home for them, the Benda's developed their land and built the original tiny home,
and way cool by the way! And way before they are as popular today as on HGTV. They use their place frequently, and share it with their friends. Equally cool!
Jason, pictured on the left hand side of the photo below, shares a lot of passions that I do, and thru him, I met Ed, whom is equally a person to call a bro! Well, its been five - six plus years since I met the Bendas, and just this past weekend, I got
a card from them, you see, Jason is a teacher, and so is Ed, and these guys get it! The kids that go thru their classes are very lucky to have them - in a world that seems so artificial with all the rules etc, these guys keep it real and all of
us need that. Of course, Jason is an epic poetic writer and painter, and his writing below just says it all. Thanks to the Benda family for the REI card, and Jason, well, your a Rock! Here's to a 2017 summer of fun and memories with
family and friends. Get after it.
