landscapes.The planting of vegetable gardens continues to remain popular, as do other ways to reduce lawn area such as the addition of fire pits or fire places.  Various ways to manage water also made the list, including the installation of permeable paving, rainwater harvesting, and the use of water-efficient irrigation systems.
